Countries Not Exempt from Visa Requirements When Entering Vietnam - emailphu52 - 12-08-2024

Unilateral Visa Exemption
Starting from August 15, 2023, Vietnam will grant a 45-day visa exemption to the citizens of the following countries:
  • South Korea
  • Japan
  • Russia
  • Sweden
  • Finland
  • Norway
  • Denmark
  • United Kingdom
  • France
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • Italy
  • Belarus
Conditions for Unilateral Visa Exemption:
  • Must hold a valid regular passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.
  • Must have a return or onward travel ticket.
  • Must not fall under any entry ban or restrictions in Vietnam.

Bilateral Visa Exemption
Citizens of ASEAN countries are exempt from Vietnamese visa requirements for stays not exceeding 30 days, regardless of the purpose of entry:
  • Brunei: 14 days
  • Myanmar: 14 days
  • Philippines: 21 days
  • Cambodia: 30 days
  • Thailand: 30 days
  • Malaysia: 30 days
  • Singapore: 30 days
  • Indonesia: 30 days
  • Laos: 30 days
