The project to build the road connecting Trần Quốc Hoàn Street and Cộng Hòa Street is a national key project with a total investment of 4,848 billion VND. It was approved by the City People's Committee and was started concurrently with the construction of Terminal T3.

The project's objective is to construct a new road connecting Trần Quốc Hoàn Street with Cộng Hòa Street, providing direct access to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The road is 4 km long with a cross-section of 6 lanes.

Package No. 9 involves constructing an urban underpass (approximately 600 meters) at the entrance of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. This section has been opened 3 months ahead of the initially scheduled completion date.

In conjunction with the upgrade and expansion projects for Hoàng Hoa Thám, Tên Lửa, and Tân Kỳ Tân Quý streets at the end of this year, this project will help complete the transportation infrastructure and alleviate traffic congestion in the Tan Son Nhat International Airport area, especially after the passenger terminal T3 becomes operational.
