On July 27, 2024, while traveling through Nậm Tăm commune in Sìn Hồ district, Lai Chau province, Lieutenant Lý A Chánh, a police officer from Pa Khóa commune, and Lieutenant Nguyễn Duy Khánh, a police officer from Noong Hẻo commune, heard cries for help near a stream in Nậm Tăm commune. Without hesitation and at great personal risk, they immediately plunged into the fast-moving water to rescue an unconscious drowning victim. They quickly performed first aid and successfully revived the victim, who is now in stable condition.
