Starting August 12, Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company began repairs on the road surface and drainage system on Prenn Pass, the gateway to Da Lat. The work is expected to be completed in 21 days. At the repair site, the contractor has installed a 100-meter-long barrier and set up signs to direct vehicles onto the remaining half of the road.

The repairs include reinforcing the lower section, excavating the cracked roadbed, fixing the drainage system, and resurfacing the damaged areas. Cracks 0.5-1 cm wide appeared on Prenn Pass at the end of July due to prolonged heavy rains causing water to seep into the roadbed. Vehicles heading to Da Lat will be directed through the Tuyen Lam Lake area, minimizing the potential for congestion.

Prenn Pass, 7.27 km long, connects National Route 20 with Da Lat and was expanded with a 552 billion VND investment since February 2023.
