An Indian pharmaceutical billionaire is set to bring 4,500 employees from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited to Vietnam for a nearly two-week vacation from August 27 to September 7. The group, primarily Indian nationals, will tour Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay. This will be the largest group ever hosted by Vietravel, with specific requests for 4-5 star accommodations, food catering to religious beliefs, and three tour guides for every 30-35 guests.

Vietnam is increasingly attracting Indian tourists, with a significant rise in Indian visitors in 2023 and the early months of 2024. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism reported welcoming 392,000 Indian visitors in 2023, a 231% increase from 2019, and over 231,000 visitors in the first six months of 2024, up 164% from the same period last year. Vietnam stands out for its convenient connectivity and short direct flight times.
