Warning: Impersonators Pretending to be Shippers are Scamming Consumers

Recently, many individuals have been impersonating delivery personnel (shippers) from reputable brands to steal consumer assets. Their method involves calling people, pretending to be delivery staff, and informing them of a delivery that requires an upfront payment. After receiving the payment, these scammers falsely claim that the bank account used is linked to a membership program, which will automatically charge a monthly fee. They then provide fake links and contact numbers for cancellation, leading consumers to enter personal information and risk having their bank accounts compromised. In response to this situation, the Information Security Department advises consumers to be cautious when making online payments and not to click on links sent by unknown sources.
