On August 10, 1961, the U.S. began chemical warfare operations in Vietnam, which lasted for 10 years, causing devastating effects on the environment and ecosystems, and leaving behind Agent Orange legacies across multiple generations.
Since 2004, August 10 has been designated as the “Day for Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange.” On this day, various activities are organized to alleviate the suffering caused by Agent Orange, including providing care and assistance to victims, protecting their legal rights and interests, and advocating for justice. These efforts aim to inspire hope and love for life, as well as to support victims in their quest to integrate into the community with determination and resilience.
