Teachers Deliver Baby in Freezing Rain

Four teachers in Nghe An province helped a woman deliver a baby by the roadside in freezing rain. On their way to school, they found the woman in labor and stopped to assist. The woman, Vu Y Mo (28), was being taken to the Nậm Càn commune health clinic by her husband when she went into labor. The teachers helped her deliver a healthy baby girl after about 20 minutes. Due to difficult road conditions, the family decided to go home instead of the clinic. The teachers contacted the clinic for advice on hygiene. A health worker later visited and confirmed both mother and baby, weighing 3.2kg, were doing well.
