When is the best time to visit Da Nang?

Da Nang experiences a transitional climate between Northern and Southern Vietnam, predominantly featuring a tropical climate. The year is divided into two distinct seasons: the dry season from January to July and the rainy season from August to December. Occasionally, there are cold spells in winter, but they are short-lived and not severe.

Late December to Late March: The weather is cool and pleasant, making it an ideal time for spring travels. Hotel and dining prices are generally stable during this period. Note that travelers should bring a light jacket as it can get chilly in the evenings, and there may be occasional spring showers.

Early April to Mid-September: This is considered the best time to visit Da Nang, but it is also the peak summer tourist season, which can be crowded and expensive. April is particularly notable for the changing colors of the leaves on the Son Tra Peninsula.

Mid-September to Late December: The weather cools down with occasional light rain, but it doesn’t last long. With the peak season over, airfare, accommodation, and dining services are more reasonably priced.
